This is our new home - bought in december 2004
This photo was taken in 2006 after a facelift of the house. New wallpanels on this side, and we buildet a large terrace.

The new terrace is built, but not painted. There is still a lot of work
to do, as the garden has to be tottaly re-furbished.

The view to the seaside downhill from our house

Our first summer ( 2005) in our little boat sufficient to get around all the nice islands
that is surround us.
The tour and the weather was breathtaking, as if a new world was showed to us.

Heading for one of the islands 5 km away, where there are nice old houses and buildings,
and only summertime recidents. A fantastic place!

This is life! My husband and myself enjoys living in this area, we love it!
"You have to see it to belive it"
Isn't this paradise on earth :-)

A lot of seagulls followed us after our fishingtrip, hoping to get
something to eat.......

and of course they did!

Our boathouse in the bay, a cloudy day

The boathouse again, a wonderful summerday. We love to sit in front
of the boathouse with a cup of coffe, just enjoying the fantastic view and the peace.

Our house on the top of the hill, before it was painted with white windowframes
as it is today. We just love this place!!

A view from the end of the garden

First summer on our island on my birthday 2 of july 2005.
My brother -, father - and sister in law came to celebrate with us.

It is early spring and the weather is lovely

This is our island, Rindarøy, were we live. A little island connected to a larger island Gossen,
with many summer guests every year. There is about 10 houses with permanent recidence.
A tiny community, but we love this paradise island, and so do the cats.

Rindarøy from the mainland ( main island GOSSEN ), early january 2008

And this is Rindarøy 1959, the year I was born.
The funny thing is that our house is here only half the size of today. It was
extended during the 1970's, twice the size.
My husbands grandfather and grandmother was running a store ( in the nearest big white house ) and a fishmarket
for many many years. Knut's ( my husband) family originates from Rindarøy.
Sadly the old white house and all the old buildings in front is now gone.....instead there is now a modern salmon facility
It is very sad to see that sometimes the old time was better. This place was really a busy and
important place for all fishermen along the north-west coast of Norway.
